Primary Responsibilities

The Manager, Compensation will oversee broad-based compensation programs with a focus on market intelligence and the creation and maintenance of KeHE’s salary grade structure. The role will work closely with Human Resources and business leadership. In addition, this role may support sales compensation and/or executive compensation programs.

Essential Functions

  • Oversees and administers broad-based compensation programs related to base pay and market intelligence
  • Designs and maintains the company salary grade structure to ensure job grades remain competitive, relevant and accurate
  • Conducts market analyses and make recommendations for aligning jobs to pay grade structure
  • Conduct market salary studies as needed for various compensation benchmarking including job matching, data analytics, and job pricing
  • Works with HR and Talent Acquisition to develop competitive compensation offers for strategic new hires, promotions, etc.
  • Consolidate, interpret and presents data analysis to company leadership on compensation-related topics
  • Keeps apprised of governance and compliance issues as they relate to compensation
  • Conducts and/or supports pay equity analyses on a regular basis as required by law or KeHE policies
  • Identifies key metrics and uses data to advance understanding of compensation effectiveness
  • Consult with business leadership to design organization's short and long-term incentive programs
  • Partners with Compliance team to ensure company’s compensation programs are compliant with legislation
  • Monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation policies and programs and recommends improvements
  • Assist with developing communication strategies and materials for compensation actions such as merit process, performance management, STI, LTI and other compensation related programs

Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude

  • College Diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • 5-10 years of experience working in the field of compensation
  • Proven subject matter expertise in market pricing and design and maintenance of salary grade structure
  • Proven analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to derive actionable recommendations
  • Experience consulting business leaders and HR business partners on performance-based incentive strategies
  • Demonstrated experience using compensation software to support base pay changes and market analyses
  • Mastery in Excel
