Rocket Travel, Inc. is seeking a Coordinator to join our People Operations Team full-time. This team handles all of our Human Resources, Facilities, Recruitment, and Social needs. The ideal candidate:
- Has an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Is preferred to have some familiarity with U.S. Federal and State labor laws
- Has a high level of discretion, confidentiality, and ethical discernment
- Is highly computer literate with skills using MS Office, HR, and payroll systems
- Exhibits excellent problem solving skills
- Is able to take ambiguity and change in stride
- Is curious and ready to challenge accepted practice
- Has meticulous attention to detail

Duties and responsibilities:
- Serve as first point of contact to triage HR related issues and direct to the proper resource or to the Director of People Operations as appropriate
- Support on-boarding including new hire offers, orientation, I-9s, benefits enrollment, system updates
- Support off-boarding including scheduling exit interviews, required paperwork, system updates
- Assist with internal and external HR-related inquiries and requests (e.g., employment verification, audit projects)
- Help implement HR strategies, tools, policies, systems and processes to ensure consistent delivery of quality service and correct practices and documentation
- Schedule meetings, interviews, onsite and offsite events, training sessions, and maintain agendas
- Support annual/regular initiatives including Open Enrollment, performance reviews
- Handle I-9 re-verifications and provide other immigration-related support
- Maintain employee records in HRIS system and handle other record-keeping and file maintenance
- Order, stock, and maintain office supplies for common areas.
- Keep up-to-date on the latest HR trends, best practices, and regulations

Supervisory responsibility: None
Travel: 5% domestic travel
Work Schedule: Typical work days are Monday through Friday, flexibility of work hours is possible, but this role requires a consistent presence in the office.
