Director, Talent Acquisition

The Head of Talent Acquisition will be accountable for leading a team and driving strategic initiatives across the organization that will allow Tegus to triple headcount over the next 12-18 months. The mission for the Director of Talent Acquisition is to support the development of one of the most talented, happy and respected organizations in Chicago by overseeing the hiring of A+ talent across all departments at Tegus. The Director of Talent Acquisition will accomplish this by focusing on hiring, training, coaching and developing the Talent Acquisition team, owning hiring for select roles and continuing to build brand equity and recognition of Tegus. Additionally, the Director of Talent Acquisition will help model and drive accountability for Tegus’s outcome-oriented culture.
Responsibilities
- Oversee global Talent Acquisition team and effectively coach, mentor and motivate the team members in hiring A+ talent, providing ongoing opportunities for growth and success.
- Develop, set and achieve departmental goals as discussed with Executive Leadership.
- Work effectively with departmental managers across the company to build and execute effective staffing plans.
- Manage recruitment metrics, including forecasting future hiring needs on the basis of business growth strategies.
- Continually examine and improve the Tegus recruiting approach, from sourcing through offer acceptance.
- Reduce time to fill.
- Decrease the application to hire timeline.
- Increase the number of quality hires.
- Build an employer branding strategy and drive company awareness in the community.
- Drive towards achieving organizational Diversity, Equity and Inclusion goals by hiring diverse A+ talent through strategic marketing and partnerships.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional Talent Acquisition experience with with high-growth tech experience strongly preferred.
- Minimum 3+ years of management or recruitment team leadership experience.
- Proven track record of understanding, setting and achieving department-wide goals.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to foster long-term relationships (with internal teams, including executive leadership, external partners and candidates).
- Organized, detail-oriented, able to handle multiple tasks and assume responsibility for quality results with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to strategize but also be hands-on and efficiently operate under pressure, driving projects to completion based on company and team objectives.
- An astute business-focused mind with the ability to think creatively to arrive at solutions.
