The Global Head of Inclusion and Diversity is a new and critical role at Groupon, representing growth in our recently formalized I&D team. Reporting into the Global Head of HR, you will be accountable for working with business and HR leaders to ensure that Groupon increases, develops, and uses a diverse workforce, sustains a culture of inclusion, integrity, and respect, and generates positive business impact in the markets we serve.

You’re a thought leader and subject matter expert. You’ve built diverse, inclusive, and innovative teams for years and you love both the scrappy and strategic elements of your work. You have a positive, can-do attitude motivated by a high level of emotional intelligence and self-awareness. You enjoy interpreting data in order to inform your approach and are constantly looking for opportunities to build knowledge at all levels in the organization, making even the most complex concepts easier to understand. You are a thought leader and subject matter expert in the I&D space. You have strong cultural competency and a growth mindset -- you’re excited to build on what currently exists and you excel in bringing others with you.

What you’ll do:

• Own the development, execution, and maintenance of a comprehensive global I&D strategy, including programmatic efforts related to diversity recruitment, learning and development, engagement, business operations, etc., as well as influence business leaders to ensure they are actively promoting a diverse and inclusive work environment.

• Partner with the HR Analytics team to develop, maintain, and audit diversity metrics, corresponding dashboards, and recurring reports to measure success, glean insights and incorporate into future plans and initiatives; track and regularly communicate results at the senior leadership level.

• Provide coaching, education, and consultancy to cross-functional, global senior leaders, and HR business partners, enabling them to implement their unit-specific I&D plans. Partner with our Global Talent Management organization to ensure that recruiters are adequately educated on practices and policies; advise on the most innovative and relevant practices and external partnerships to help attract, hire, develop, and retain diverse Top Talent.

• Effectively drive participation and engagement in I&D programs and practices at every level. Plan and deliver a work product in multiple formats including frameworks, self-driven tools, in-person development activities, and coaching/consultation with leaders and organizations.

• Provide strategic direction and oversight to our six employee resource groups, ensuring they are working effectively, contributing to, and supporting Groupon’s strategies and goals.

• Most importantly, be a leading voice for inclusiveness at Groupon, communicating effectively and regularly with internal and external audiences, showing Groupon’s commitment to this work in the world. Represent Groupon with key external partners and promote a positive perception of the company with the diverse communities we do business with, market to, and/or recruit from.

Desired qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree; Master’s, I&D and/or IDI certification a plus.

• Minimum of ten years of related professional experience and six years of experience in scoping, designing, and implementing I&D strategies in complex, fast-paced, global organizations; experience working either in the business or as an HR Business Partner a plus.

• Passion for Groupon’s mission and its commitment to diverse audiences; demonstrates Groupon’s Leader Habits and Values.

• Flexibility to travel (sometimes internationally) when needed.
