About the Role:
We're looking for a Head of People (Head of HR & People Operations) to join our growing People team, which includes Organization & Culture Designers, Talent Acquisition Specialists, HR Business Partners, and Diversity and Inclusion practice experts. Our People team's ambition is to be at the forefront of organizational strategies and design, which will contribute to the overall success of Kalderos and is key to our competitive efforts. As our Head of People, you will build effective roadmaps with our team and collaborate with our executive team to ensure that all aspects of Human Resources align with and contribute to our organizational and business goals. This role reports to our Chief Design Officer.
What impact you'll have:
Growing our Team:
Strategic Hiring Planning: Serve as a primary strategic partner to executive leadership to develop comprehensive, scalable hiring plans across all functions within the organization to maximize our revenue and growth
Talent Acquisition & Recruitment: Activate our strategic hiring plan by working with the talent acquisition and recruitment team to identify, engage, and recruit top talent, ultimately making Kalderos a highly desirable employer
Compensation and benefits: Assure that our compensation and benefits strategies effectively deliver on Kalderos' promise to our employees that their value, talent, and output are fairly compensated using market data
Increasing the performance of our Team:
Coordinate Talent Development: Create staff development and retention strategies, provide training, and assist managers in setting developmental goals across the organization to improve capabilities at all levels of the organization
Design Organizational Structures: Improve existing organizational structure and career pathways that have an impact on organizational performance, as well as support mutually beneficial growth opportunities for employees
Mature Performance Monitoring Process: Improve our performance management approach, including continuous feedback culture, 1-on-1’s, and semi-annual performance reviews to develop and retain high-performing employees.
Budgeting and Defining Value Provide periodic updates to the executive leadership team on our team’s spending, with solid proof of value for expenses. Collaboratively create the People Team’s budget and track expenses.

Promote and embody our culture: Foster an organizational culture that reinforces our mission and values, sustains a high level of morale, promotes feedback, embraces growth, attracts the highest level of talent, and creates a continuous improvement mentality.
Champion a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace: design, implement, and promote our DE&I practices and policies.
Optimize the employee lifecycle: From recruitment through alumni status, improve our employee relationship for the various stages of an employee’s lifecycle to maximize employee contribution and connection to our employer brand.
Assuring a compliant and empowering workplace: Establish and refine our People-related company policies and procedures and ensure that organization is compliant with all applicable employment laws across several states. Ensure employees feel empowered in all aspects of their employment, including coordinating and streamlining future team members’ visa processes.
What you'll bring:
Deep expertise in all aspects of human resources, including employee relations, performance management, culture development, talent acquisition, HR administration, total rewards, compliance, and employee retention
Ability to plan, execute, and manage others across all People initiatives, as well as, manage the day to day operations of the People Team
Experience in developing and implementing HR strategies within a technology company (experience in the healthcare industry is a plus)

Highest level of written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
Ability to set measurable goals for People initiatives and report against those metrics to the executive team
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver the best possible employee experience
Set yourself apart:
Ability to define and articulate a progressive philosophy on people management
MBA, Masters of Organizational Psychology, or other relevant advanced degrees strongly preferred
Experience working within an early-stage or fast-growth company
Experience managing external partners to assist in talent acquisition and recruitment, compensation and benefits administration and audits, and legal compliance
Experience selecting and implementing HRIS solutions
Experience using human-centered design methodologies to define strategies for employee engagement and experience
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in human resource management, business, psychology, or related field
10+ years of experience in human resources, with clear and measurable examples of the impact you have made on the operations and performance of an organization
Due to the circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic, Kalderos has decided to protect our current and future employees by shifting to an entirely remote workforce. We will continue to operate, interview, onboard, and work remotely. Please be aware that some of our roles will not be remote long-term and will return to an office setting once we're safe to do so following the guidance of local health authorities and the CDC.
