In the typical day in the life of a HR Data Analyst, they are responsible for researching and presenting assigned data, developing ad hoc reports or metrics, meeting with management to address issues and offer recommendations, writing detailed reports for management, troubleshooting data, assisting in implementation of human resources programs, measuring the effectiveness of people initiatives, and ensuring fully compliance with data privacy guidelines. 

What you'll do:

  • Delivers independent business analysis for human resource functions through data and reporting
  • Designs and develops queries for reporting and special projects
  • Conceptualizes and designs multi-system reports and dashboards
  • Performs special projects and analyses around internal measurements and metrics to monitor HR programs (e.g., employee demographics, turnover trends, data collection and analysis, internal and external benchmarks)
  • Ensure high quality, accurate, insightful data is produced and maintained, working with the HR Team to ensure this is the case
  • Accurately produce all required HR data reports, displayed in appropriate formats, in agreed timeframes
  • Work with different HR functions to provide process improvements and tools that drive data accuracy and efficiencies to improve reporting
  • Work closely with the business to create new reports and dashboards; develop processes for program evaluation and reporting

What you bring:

  • Bachelor degree is required
  • At least 4-6 years of related experience in an HR or data processing environment
  • Previous experience working within an HR function
  • Prior experience working with HRIS systems

Key Skills, Abilities, and Competencies:

  • Possess understanding of HR processes and administration
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks effectively, prioritize requests, and adapt well to change
  • Requires strong attention to detail, management of deadlines, accuracy of processing data in a fast-paced environment
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Detail oriented mindset resulting in high quality work and a strong, proactive follow through.
  • Collaborative problem solving approach with the ability to work individually or with a team
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build “trust” with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to gather, analyze, interpret, and translate data into meaningful insights
  • Delivering data, information, and insights in a secure manner
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Ability to effectively manage tasks and meet deadlines
