The Alinea Group is looking for a leader to process payroll, maintain confidential employee information, create detailed reports, and improve business practices. The HRIS/Payroll Associate is a member of the Human Resources (HR) department and the primary contact for employees, managers, and chefs for payroll related topics.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3 years+ experience in an office environment
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills
Desirable:
- Experience running complex payroll
- Prior knowledge of ACA regulations, DOL laws, and Illinois employment law
- Previous experience with benefit administration
- Ability to communicate in Spanish
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Organize and submit payroll for 400 employees
- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding process from start to finish
- Communicate via email, phone and in person with employees, managers, and ownership
- Prepare, analyze, and deliver reporting of payroll data, hours worked, labor cost, compensation structures, benefit utilization, and other HR related topics
- Participate in meetings, offer ideas for improvement, identify areas of concern proactively
- Ensure the accuracy of quarterly and year-end tax documents
