As a Human Resource Specialist you will need to be someone who is self-motivated, learns quickly, and demonstrates the ability to multi-task. This busy role requires the credibility and integrity to maintain confidential, sensitive company and employee information at all times. Responsibilities and projects will be varied anywhere from administrative to highly analytical in nature and typically will require independent judgment and follow-through with internal and external people and systems.

Some Challenges You’ll Tackle

• Support and lead process improvement for the overall HR Function through ownership and administration of centralized employee activities, including terminations; requisition processing; payroll change processing; visa support, etc.
• Provide reporting and analysis on key HR metrics
• Assist in planning and lead various training programs as needed – i.e. New Hire Orientation, Performance Management, etc.
• Respond to employee questions and/or re-direct inquiries regarding general HR inquiries including benefits, talent acquisition, payroll, etc.to the appropriate team
• Collaborate with cross-functional HR teams in talent acquisition; HRIS; compensation; training and OD
• Support the SVP of HR on special projects and day to day tasks as needed

You Should Have

• One or more years of HR or related experience
• BA/BS degree required 
• Ability to simultaneously manage multiple and changing priorities
• A detail oriented mindset while maintaining a heavy workload
• Excellent analytic abilities; ability to track, manage, and report on HR data
• Continuous improvement orientation, ability to identify and overcome barriers to efficiency and effectiveness
• Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
• Professionalism and ability to exercise independent judgment and problem solving skills
• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Passion to thrive in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment
• Excellent customer service skills; able to interact with employees at all levels in a prompt, positive manner
• Proficiency at an intermediate level with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
