Position Description:
The HR Director plays a critically important role for NowPow at large, responsible for growing and supporting our most important asset: our people. Working side-by-side with all departments at NowPow, the HR Director will focus on ensuring all NowPow teams are staffed to meet company objectives. The HR Director will be responsible for developing HR, operational, and recruiting strategy and overseeing its implementation, led by the HR and Operations Associate. To be successful this person must be comfortable with a rapidly changing environment where processes and team needs are changing constantly. In addition, this person will play a key role in continuing to build on our company culture, ensuring that existing NowPow employees are satisfied, engaged, and feel as though NowPow is “THE” place to work.
Responsibilities:
- Quickly gain an excellent working knowledge of NowPow’s organizational structure and technology
- Develop relationships with all NowPow staff and maintain floor visibility in order to “pulse” the workplace
- Lead strategy for NowPow's recruitment and oversee implementation throughout the entire process, including: creation of job descriptions, posting and recruitment, selecting qualified candidates, scheduling, conducting interviews, and negotiating offers
- Lead recruitment efforts for senior or technical openings
- Collaborate with the leadership team to understand hiring needs in each department; anticipate the need for new hires and maintain progress reports to ensure NowPow teams are staffed in a timely manner to meet company objectives
- Oversee the onboarding process for new employees, including working with managers to develop 30.60.90-day training plans and 2-week training schedules
- Establish a formal performance review process for NowPow to use across departments
- Lead employee relations counseling
- Work directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on HR matters including coaching employees and recruitment
- Review & recommend improvements to policies, procedures, and practices on HR matters and company benefits
- Track staffing levels/deployment, turnover, absenteeism, recruitment, compensation, promotions, etc.
- Effectively utilize Zenefits HR management system to obtain, store, and analyze pertinent data and information regarding Payroll and Benefits Administration
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 4 or more years of relevant HR and recruitment experience
- Prior management or team leadership experience is highly desired
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification is highly desired
- Comfort working in a start-up environment
- The ability to be candid and forthright and conduct oneself with maturity and integrity in all situations

- Excellent multi-tasking; staying organized under pressure and the ability to reprioritize daily
