What will you be doing?

The Human Resources Generalist, which is part of our People team, will play an integral role within all Human Resources aspects, including employee relations, performance management, benefits, organizational development, training and development, and corporate initiatives. This person will be expected to be an expert on HR law and internal policies in order to carry out our processes in a constructive way. The Human Resources Generalist interacts with all functional departments across the company, and partners with management acting as a strategic planner.

Your duties will include:

  • Working closely with management and employees to improve working relationships, building morale, and increasing productivity and retention
  • Providing exceptional customer service in regard to day-to-day HR operational issues and inquiries
  • Owning Visa & Immigration for U.S. based employees.
  • Identifying training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs
  • Launching training programs and monitoring success
  • Developing workforce analytics and identifying trends to develop dashboards/reports for senior leadership
  • Seamlessly onboard new hire’s in your business group
  • Implementing global HR initiatives and ensuring that local activities are aligned to the global HR strategy
  • Providing day-to-day performance management guidance to line management including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary action
  • Managing and resolving complex employee relations issues
  • Conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations to formulate recommendations
  • Ability to understand and communicate our benefit offerings to employees
  • Developing contract terms for new hires, promotions and transfers
  • Working with the payroll and commission teams to ensure compensation, benefits, and incentive plans are coordinated and administered accurately
  • Leading HR policy creation, guidance, and interpretation for both established and growing company locations
  • Maintaining in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Partnering with the legal department as needed/required
  • Providing support with ad-hoc projects and duties

OK, I'm interested... is this the job for me? We are looking for:

  • 3-5 years progressive Human Resources experience
  • Experience in a wide array of areas within HR such as onboarding, benefits, visa & immigration, employee relations, training & development, employee relations, etc.
  • University degree required
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, tight timelines, and multiple priorities, in a fast-moving, constantly changing environment
  • Strong interpersonal communication, listening skills, critical writing, and detail-oriented
  • Effective search tactics and problem-solving ability
  • Exercise good judgment and demonstrate a diplomatic and open minded approach
  • High degree of professionalism, maturity, and confidentiality
  • Strong technical skills, including significant experience using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Proven application experience of HR information systems
