ThinkMarkets is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner with corporate experience and an interest in finance, banking, and a fast-paced environment to join our Chicago team. The Human Resources Business Partner will have a critical role in our company culture and identifying candidates who reflect who we are and where we are headed. The right candidate will be organized, a strong communicator and a problem solver, all while being able to keep a positive attitude in a fast-paced and rapidly growing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Process payroll semi-monthly using ADP
- Assist with full-cycle recruitment; i.e. job posting, resume review, phone screen, interview, offer extension, on boarding, background checks, etc.
- Recruiting for both the Chicago office and some International offices as needed
- Prepare personnel files and maintain compliance for audit reviews and record keeping
- Coordinate distribution of semi-monthly payroll and annual W-2’s
- Build applicant sources by contacting and partnering with agencies, professional organizations and creating a candidate pipeline
- Use job board, social media and professional networking sites (LinkedIn, BuiltIn, etc.) to identify and source candidates
- Provide overall administrative support to the HR Department
- Coordinate agency events such as lunches, employee appreciation, new employee orientation, health and wellness program, and training
Requirements:
- BA/BS degree with 4+ years of experience working in Human Resources or a related function
- Experience in administering payroll, benefit plans (401k, health, transit) and HR operations that deliver a high-quality experience for employees
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and overall positive attitude
- Proven leadership, project management and time management skills
- Able to exercise sound judgment and observe the highest degree of confidentiality
- A developed confidence and strong self-motivation, while being smart and approachable
- Experience in tech recruiting is a plus
