People Operations Coordinator
POSITION PURPOSE
SpotOn is a cutting-edge payments and software company dedicated to redefining the merchant services industry. SpotOn combines payment processing with customer engagement and business management solutions, giving small and medium businesses the data and tools they need to run and grow their business. Our tools increase revenue and connect businesses with their customers using rewards, deals, online reviews, website building, and data analytics. Tools like these were previously only available to big businesses with big bankrolls and their own developers, but our platform caters to neighborhood stores, independent retailers, and other small to midsize businesses. We have our service deployed in many cities across the U.S. and Mexico.
Our rapidly growing company is looking for a dedicated People Operations Coordinator to handle new employee onboarding and recruiting support tasks, and the occasional administrative-related duties for leaders and general office management tasks. The ideal candidate has excellent communication and multitasking skills, a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a passion for technology.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Conduct New Employee Orientation (NEO)
- Serve as an employee advocate for new hires as well as established employees
- Introduce new hires to the company and walk them through the hiring and training process
- Review and analyze resumes for selecting top talent
- Make travel arrangements and purchases for team, and schedule meetings based on all parties’ itineraries
- Greet clients as soon as they arrive and connect them with the appropriate party
- Source, schedule and interview new talent as assigned by the recruiter or hiring manager
- Complete all new-hire paperwork with candidates
- Create and manage both digital and hard copy filing systems for all leaders
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
- Overachieving attitude and enhanced work ethic
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Exceptional customer service skills and professional phone manner
- Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of integrity and caring with the ability to inspire collaboration
- Possesses a passion for technology and mobile applications
- Knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing documents
- Knowledge of Google Suite products
- Ability to create presentations using tools such as MS PowerPoint and Google Slides
- Ability to create an organized filing system
- Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and safeguard sensitive information
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of immigration and employment eligibility documentation
- Familiarity with software development organizations
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- 2+ years of work experience
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma and some college or equivalent experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
