What You’ll Do

As a member of the People Team and reporting to the Director of People, the People Operations Specialist will work hands on to support NI’s colleagues. We are looking for a generalist who is eager to grow in their career and has prior benefits, payroll, and analytics experience. The ideal candidate will be able to work cross-functionally within Networked Insights and collaborate with other HR partners across the American Family Enterprise. The right person will thrive in an "all hands on deck" environment, loves solving program and employment related problems and can pivot quickly.

Responsibilities:

  • Benefits Administration
    • Administer all Networked Insights benefits programs, including: managing enrollments and terminations; reconciling bills and updating systems; open enrollment; overseeing disability, leaves and COBRA; and colleague communications regarding benefits
    • Own and maintain all benefits vendor relationships
    • Act as the liaison between the People Team and Finance to gather colleague/candidate satisfaction on our Benefits offerings, analyze options, and build reports to prepare for review
  • Payroll Administration
    • Process semi-monthly payroll
    • Ensure accuracy between payroll, colleague elected benefits, and all associated vendors
    • Research and resolve payroll issues and questions in a timely manner
    • Assists Leadership Team and the Director of People in the annual review, preparation and administration of compensation
  • Generalist
    • Assist to develop and drive People initiatives - employment practice improvement, training, metrics/trending and HR analytics
    • Maintain people systems and information
    • Assist with program and process improvement
    • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensure compliance
    • Collaborate with American Family Enterprise partners on initiatives such as benefits, analytics, and HRIS implementation
    • Other People and Finance projects as needed, including but not limited to, employee relations, performance management, and talent acquisition

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of HR experience, with specific focus on payroll, benefits, and analytics
  • Strong excel and analytical skills, with a track record of identifying potential issues proactively and formulating solutions and contingency plans
  • Solid understanding of federal and state laws and knowledge of visa and sponsorship requirements
  • HR-related certification a plus
