We’re looking for a Senior HR Business Partner (Chicago, IL or Remote)

Built In is looking for a dynamic Senior HR Business Partner to join our People team! This individual will partner with senior leaders to drive the People and Culture strategy for their designated business unit and provide targeted support in the areas of employee relations, performance and development, organizational design and change management. 

In addition, they will develop and own a world-class career development and learning roadmap that enables our people to do their best work and drive their own career. 

This role will report to the VP of People, Kelly Keegan

How you’ll contribute

  • Partner with designated leaders and their teams to develop and execute HR strategies and activities that cultivate growth, innovation and organizational effectiveness. This includes developing and implementing programs, processes and tools to help set managers and employees up for success.
  • Provide HR expertise and counsel in the areas of people operations, employee relations, performance management, feedback, development and coaching, and workforce planning
  • Develop talent strategies for key stakeholders and design approaches for diagnosing and enhancing organizational effectiveness and employee engagement
  • Coach managers to develop strong skills around hiring and building teams, assessing and managing performance, growing top talent, and facilitating open communication. 
  • Drive adoption and engagement with our People programs across the organization, specifically around performance management, training and career development
  • Leverage data and storytelling to support decision-making and enable change across the organization
  • Contribute as a cultural champion and create an inclusive workplace with an emphasis on diversity, inclusion and belonging for all employees

What you need

  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with 5+ years of HRBP experience
  • Prior experience with a mix of startups and mature organizations
  • Solid desire and ability to improve processes and build relationships
  • Experience with compensation, stock options, and performance review cycles
  • Strong project management skills and ability to own complex projects with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment (tech industry experience a plus)
  • Ability to storytell using data. Experience creating analytics to drive HR business initiatives

  • 3+ years experience developing and owning  learning curriculums (i.e., performance management, coaching, resource management, employee development) for all levels of an organization -- employee, manager, leadership.
