The PDL Corporate Human Resources group is on the hunt for an ambitious, skilled and resourceful Talent & Learning Specialist to join the team in our downtown Chicago headquarters. This position will play a key role in the planning and facilitation of learning and talent related activities across Peapod Digital Labs and Peapod. 

Recipe for Success - What's “in store” for the role   

In this role, you will touch all areas of learning and development for our corporate teams – one day may be helping a leader research external learning offerings in a niche skill area and prepping to lead a training session, the next day sitting down to help an employee capture and outline action items to support her individual development plan, and the next day facilitating a training session for 20 team members located across the country. You will provide strong subject matter expertise in curriculum development, competency development, instructional design, and program creation and management.  Key responsibilities include:  

• Ownership and responsibility for the continuous design of our new employee onboarding experience in conjunction with Recruiting team and HR Business Partners. This experience will stretch beyond the newbie’s first day and will include an introduction and education on tools and knowledge they need to be successful, as well as how they fit into the broader organization.  

• Design and implementation of interactive learning programs and developmental experiences to help our employees to learn and grow - in person, online, and through virtual meeting touchpoints.  

• Provide learning solutions to address department needs and overall organizational capability gaps.  

• Produce and manage edits for learning documents and resources, including reports, system information, briefings, presentations.  

• Act as learning administrator for our training system, SuccessFactors. This includes helping users troubleshoot issues, introducing new employees and managers to the system, and approving courses.  

• Creatively market learning and development offerings, and drive engagement in and ensure measurement of these programs across the organization.  

• Support and facilitate programming that spans across the broader global Ahold – Delhaize organization (our parent company).

If you are our ideal candidate, you will bring a Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of talent and learning experience in a growing organization. You will have strong knowledge of learning concepts focused on adult learners, a mix of HR or workshop certifications, excellent written and verbal communication skills, exemplary presentation skills, and love to coach others to reach their potential. You have a great sense of humor, and are positive, collaborative and are flexible when priorities shift.  You are curious, organized, resourceful, creative, and fun – and will never forget that developing people is at the center of what we do.
