Technical Recruiter
Peapod is on the hunt for a self - driven, resourceful, and optimistic Technical Recruiter and talent scout to join our team in our downtown Chicago office. This role will partner with our technical groups (Development, Analytics, Digital Merchandising,Tech Business Systems, etc.) to help our leaders build talent pipelines and fill open positions. Peapod is growing, and key to this is adding more awesome technical talent to our ranks!
Our ideal candidate will find the best tech talent possible and use their deep knowledge of market trends to come up with creative ways to fill open roles. They will have strong technical acumen and a deep understanding of the talent that make up our growing groups. Additionally, this role will support employer branding efforts, co-op/internship program offerings and fostering strong relationships with business leadership & with the tech community.
A day in the life of this role will be:
- Reviewing hiring needs and working to shift quickly to address new demands
- Source, screen, present, interview, and seal the deal with great candidates
- Enhancing Peapod’s already strong reputation in the tech community through networking, partnerships,events and branding initiatives. Also build strong relationships with local universities and organizations to help Peapod become an “employer of choice” for newly minted graduates
- Toggling between the “need it now” job fills and the longer term vision for the future of our corporate hiring strategies
- Digging into metrics to regularly evaluate what’s working, what’s not, and quickly change direction and refining our processes as needed

- Have top notch communication skills - in writing and in person - able to tell the story about Peapod while relating it directly back to why someone would want to join us.
Our candidate should have a Bachelor's degree, at least 3 years of experience in direct technical sourcing, and have strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations. Having recruiting agency experience with many successful technical placements is a strong plus.
