All employees either must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, initiate vaccination before your start date, or file an exemption request prior to start date per company policy for review. Due to the uncertainty of COVID-19, all Civis offices are closed and employees are remote until further notice. This is being closely monitored as the situation evolves. Although it’s likely our offices will reopen, positions hired outside of Civis office locations will be remote roles.

What we're looking for

We are looking for a self-motivated, analytical thinker to join our team as an Accounting Intern. As a member of our accounting team, you will help contribute to our day-to-day accounting, financial, and reporting processes. Your work will include booking month close entries, performing account reconciliations, creating and updating dashboards, and assisting with our financial audit.

In addition to being an excellent communicator, you should have excellent multitasking and organizational abilities. The successful candidate will also have knowledge of GAAP and be proficient in Excel or Google Sheets.

Responsibilities

• Perform account reconciliations
• Pull reports and analyze financial data 
• Book month close journal entries
• Create and maintain accounting dashboards
• Assist with documentation organization
• Ad hoc reporting and analysis

Minimum Qualifications

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate program  for Accounting, Finance, or a similar field
• Proficiency in Microsoft or Google Suite, specifically Excel or Google Sheets
• Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards, experience with SaaS a plus
• Experience Netsuite or similar accounting software
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and be a self-starter
