Corporate Development & Strategy Analyst \u2013 Summer Internship
The Corporate Development & Strategy Analyst - Summer Intern plays a critical role in providing analytics support for Origami's strategic initiatives across the organization. This intern will be a detail-oriented, personable, and analytical colleague capable of managing projects and working collaboratively across teams. The intern will have the opportunity to support key areas, including strategic projects, business analytics & KPIs, business models, and organic & inorganic growth initiatives. The internship program will also incorporate structured training related to analytical, presentation and professional communication skills.
Origami Risk is currently recruiting for candidates interested in a 12-week, paid, in-person internship based in our Chicago Office during Summer 2023.

Responsibilities
- Supports strategic planning and analysis across the organization through critical thinking and analytics.
- Creates dynamic financial and operational models to provide business cases and scenarios for assessments of new and emerging business opportunities.
- Works with colleagues across multiple departments (Sales, Service, Finance, Operations, HR, IT, etc.) to provide insights into business drivers, trends, and costs.
- Tracks, analyzes, and reports key operating and financial metrics (new sales, expanded sales, renewals, commissions, sales, and service efficiency, etc.).
- Uses data and bespoke KPIs to identify opportunities to improve the status quo, track strategic goals and link to overall business strategy.
- Contributes to monthly management meeting presentation materials.
- Builds and maintains unit economic models, customer segmentation analyses, profitability analyses, and SaaS KPI tracking for key stakeholders.
- Calculates and creates department-level efficiency models to measure performance and inform hiring decisions.
- Additional projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Working on a bachelor's or master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Analytics, or similar degree
- Strong Excel skills required
- Experience working with SQL, Python, VBA, Tableau or Power BI experience is a major plus
