Department OverviewMotorola Solutions EHS team is chartered to define and drive implementation of our growth strategies across the Environment Health and Safety issues through all business offering a diverse range of solutions to improve process efficiencies with customers, employees and contractors. Another priority is ensuring our products and services meet customer requirements and applicable laws. We have maintained an EHS Management System that conforms to ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 international standards required by some of our customers. These standards are related to environmental management and exist to help organizations continue to minimize operations that negatively affect the environment, as well as comply with applicable laws, regulations and other environmentally-oriented requirements.
Job Description
Motorola Solutions Environment, Health and Safety Dept. has a fantastic opportunity for a passionate, savvy and self-motivated candidate. This position will be located in Chicago or Schaumburg, based on the candidate's preference. The candidate will be responsible for supporting and developing EHS training programs for US employees, including but not limited to: Field Services training, Driver Safety training, and Recycling Awareness.
Functions:
- Identify employees with specialty training needs and source training materials
- Working with MSI's Learning Experience Platform for delivery of training
- Develop and deliver supplemental training and communication materials for certain programs (e.g. Recycling Awareness)
Desired Skills/Qualifications:
- Highly motivated, energetic, self-directed individual with good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer, project management, and organizational skills
Basic Requirements
- Currently participating in a 4-year program pursuing a degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Studies or a related field
- Must be graduating on or after December 2020
