CreditNinja is a FinTech company founded in 2017 by veteran serial entrepreneurs who were the core team behind Enova (NYSE:ENVA), focused on providing unsecured credit to the subprime segment of the $100+ billion personal loan market. Since then CreditNinja has expanded to 30 US states and currently offer 4 different product types. CreditNinja has a small, very agile team that is data and results driven.

Headquartered in downtown Chicago, we are a lean and innovative team seeking like-minded talent to help us disrupt the consumer finance industry.
CreditNinja is seeking self-motivated, intellectually curious Interns who are interested in working in a dynamic environment that will provide exposure to multiple functional areas: Finance, Analytics, Operations, and Marketing. The candidates will have direct exposure to the C-Suite executives who have launched and sold multiple businesses in various industries.
General Responsibilities:
·Support the Finance, Analytics, Operations, and/or Marketing teams based on candidate interest and team need
·Learn about the unsecured consumer lending space in a fast-paced environment
Specific Responsibilities – Finance:
·Assist in the development, preparation and analysis of daily/weekly/monthly operational reporting used to drive decision making in executive management meetings
·Support budgetary planning and monitoring, including creation and maintenance of product models
·Track real-time performance of the loan portfolio using SQL-based data visualization tools
·Provide analytical and financial support to functional departments including Operations, Product, and Technology
·In general, serve as support to the CFO, helping him navigate and analyze the hyper-growth nature of the company
Specific Responsibilities – Analytics:
·Conduct ad hoc analysis using advanced data mining tools to support risk management, operations and marketing strategies
·Work with cross-functional teams to explore new ways of finding insights from data and provide recommendations
·Develop dashboards to monitor key performance indicators
·Support development of company’s models to optimize lending decisions using advanced statistical modeling and simulation techniques
·Support implementation of the models by working closely with software engineering team
·Assist with development of technical tools and platforms to standardize and streamline model development and monitoring processes
Specific Responsibilities – Operations:
·Create and improve reporting on the company’s customer support efforts, including its local and off-shore call centers
·Source and diligence new / innovative technology vendors that expand our analytics, customer support, loan management, and reporting capabilities
·Research and recommend targets for key metrics and performance indicators using external benchmarks and internal data
·Build operational dashboards to monitor progress towards those targets and report findings to senior management
·Assist in creating predictive and statistical models to understand customer and agent behavior
Specific Responsibilities – Marketing:
·Assist in the development of strong partnerships programs with:
·Lead providers and aggregators
·Banks and non-bank lenders seeking to monetize turn-down volume
·Personal finance application and website providers seeking referral partners
·Support the creation of digital marketing campaigns
·Identifying potential customer segments
·Developing campaign strategies
·Managing the creative development process (copy, design, etc.)
·Coordinating with third-party ad placement vendors
·Utilizing SEO/SEM techniques to drive customer volume directly to CreditNinja’s website
·Analyze and report on customer and campaign performance, including audience, promotions, offer, messaging, creative, impressions, response rates, and conversion
·Analyze and promote the growth of the company’s in-house direct mail advertising campaign
·Actively monitor the direct and indirect competitive environment
Requirements
·Strong quantitative analytical skills
·Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
·Experience with SQL or other relational database tools
·Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines, follow through to completion, and present conclusions of analysis to senior management in an organized and thoughtful manner
