What we’re looking for: 
•    Currently a Junior or Senior pursuing a BA/BS in Information Management, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
•    Strong interpersonal and time management skills. 
•    Someone who is self-motivated and driven to get results and make an impact while utilizing strong written and verbal skills to communicate effectively. 
•    Someone who is team oriented and able to develop positive relationships with coworkers and other partners involved.
•    Outstanding written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
•    Drive for continuous learning and development
•    Microsoft Office skills including, but not limited to Outlook, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, and Word.
•    Availability to work a 40-hour week within standard business hours throughout the summer. 
•    Authorization to work in the US; without sponsorship as a full-time coworker. 

What you’ll do:
•    Event Management – Working towards understanding the different types of events are generated by network and security devices and how to troubleshoot them.
•    Release Management – A programme to help drive the physical and logical upgrade of managed network and security devices. This will provide an understanding of the importance of continual upgrades
•    CMDB Review – Address inaccuracies within the CMDB for Network and Security devices and help with MO Migration activities.
•    Technical process writing – gain experience in creating technical processes
•    Validation of standard configuration best practices for management and security hardening  of all managed network and security gear:  standard SNMP setup, TACACS, ACLs, NTP, SYSLOG, Interface descriptions, critical interface identification for standard monitoring, thresholds, and alerting, etc.  
•    Solution overviews - Site discovery via CDP or other for Visio / Intermapper diagram updates. Understand how the building blocks are put together for network architecture.
