Department Overview
The Services Portfolio Management team is responsible for the design, development, launch and maintenance of services and service products. This includes managing the product throughout its lifecycle; gathering and prioritizing service product and customer requirements; defining the product vision, and collaborating with key work partners to deliver winning service products and solutions.
Job Description

The Services Product Management Intern must be a self-starter, demonstrate the ability to gather and analyze information, form recommendations and communicate to Associates, including Director level personnel. The candidate shall be able to work 2 to 3 simultaneous projects in a short time-span.

Qualified Candidate will:

  • Review project material and develop a program plan to complete project objectives.
  • Work independently and with management and other Services personnel to collect data/information, collate, analyze, and form and make recommendations.
  • Work with cross-functional teams across Services, Product Management and Engineering.
  • Work multiple projects simultaneously
  • Understand Strategy and objectives associated with projects and develop an action plan to complete within internship cycle.
  • Manage time efficiently
  • Have a rudimentary understanding of financial terms such as NPV, Gross Margins, and Profit and Loss Statements.
  • Be proficient in Google tools (email, Sheets, Docs, and Slides or Microsoft equivalents.
  • Develop a proficient understanding of basic Motorola processes/business functions and how that integrates into projects.

Minimum Requirements:

Working toward or completed a degree in Engineering or Business or MBA.

Preferred Skills:

  • Business case generation
  • Service offer design and delivery
  • Experience with subscription consumption models such as ‘as-a-service and cloud services’
  • Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to build good relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including managers and directors
