Compliance Manager

We are looking for an experienced Compliance Manager to ensure our company adheres to all legal standards and in-house policies. This is a unique opportunity to build a compliance function from the ground up within our industry changing virtual claims company. The Compliance Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the integrity of our contracts meet all regulatory and compliance business standards. You are a highly organized influencer who can easily build partnerships internally to advocate for all compliance issues within our company. You will be responsible for enforcing regulations in all aspects and levels of the business as well as provide guidance on compliance matters.
With your proven knowledge of legal guidelines and corporate governance best practices, you will build a risk management function from the ground up. You will partner with the finance and executive teams to set standard operating procedures for all legal agreements. Responsibilities of the Compliance Manager:
Review current and previous client contracts across the business to identify and amend any discrepancies in order set the standard operating procedures for future agreements.
Manage the integrity of Snapsheet’s internal information through the creation of a document management repository.
Build trust and rapport with the executive team in order to drive the creation of Snapsheet's compliance function.
Oversee the preparation and execution of auto insurance licensing agreements across all 50 states as well as international as needed.
Act as an independent review and evaluation body to ensure that compliance issues within Snapsheet are appropriately investigated and resolved.
Develop, control and manage regulatory policies and procedures, including reports and work logs used for compliance evidence.
Monitor company regulatory status through self-assessment and reporting.
Develop compliance reporting metrics and measurable performance targets.
Prepare filings, policies, procedures and other documentation in support of the compliance function in close collaboration with Snapsheet Controller.
Qualifications for the Compliance Manager:
Bachelor’s degree in Law or higher.
7-10 years of demonstrated experience within a compliance/legal role preferably with a deep understanding of compliance as it relates to contractual agreements.
Must be highly organized with an excellent attention to detail. Must have the ability to review numerous contracts and identify discrepancies.
Experience overseeing licensing agreements from state to state is preferred.
Ability to build relationships and interface with senior level executives.
Must be a proactive, hands-on leader with a proven strategic vision who will drive operational performance with a high degree of accountability and integrity.
Must operate independently in managing complex situations and projects.
Ability to anticipate risk and develop plans to mitigate the risk.
Must possess a strong sense of integrity and the ability to maintain high personal and professional standards.
Must have strong leadership skills in order to motivate and mentor staff.
