What You'll BringLeader with strategic oversight and direct management of high volume FCRA individual plaintiff litigation docket of 1,300+ lawsuits annually.
Leader with the following skills sets: proactive mindset, problem solver, solutions oriented, strategic, continuous improvement oriented, strong communication skills with executives and regulators, financial acumen.
Strong litigation skills, including trial experience.
Talent development experience.
Capable of flexing between attention to detail and executive summaries.
High volume portfolio management experience.
Continuous improvement experience with processes and technology.
FCRA experience preferred.
Open to remote location with periodic travel to Chicago and Philadelphia.
Impact You'll MakeManage external counsel relationship to maximize successful litigation outcomes and meet or exceed financial goals for litigation expense.
Negotiate and secure at favorable financial terms, the renewal of regional counsel engagement agreements, including incorporation of latest outside counsel guidelines.
Deploy root cause analysis of the underlying drivers of litigation to identify risk mitigation opportunities; and partner with the business to create, build, and implement risk mitigation business enhancements.
Report to Senior Management regarding root causes of litigation and litigation trends, including, Board of Director decks, and CEO/CM1 decks.
Partner closely with Finance to complete financial forecasts and plan for legal expense including implementing process improvements and enhanced coordination, where appropriate.
Accountable for managing an outside legal spend budget of $15M, and the continuous improvement efforts to manage expenses of same.
Lend consultative and strategic expertise and support on class action litigation and other significant litigation, e-Discovery, Legal Holds, and regulatory investigation and enforcement matters.
Manage and develop the talent of a team of 10+ litigation support professionals and associates.
