Legal Assistant
Position reports to: Senior Associate General Counsel - Transactions
Position Summary: The Legal Assistant will support the lawyers and paralegals in the transactional and regulatory practices at Enova. In particular, the Legal Assistant will be responsible for assisting in corporate governance matters, licensing, and maintenance of entity minute books and corporate records. The Legal Assistant will also be given other projects related to contract management, vendor due diligence, litigation, subpoenas and other ad hoc projects as the attorneys and paralegals may assign.
This is where you come in:
- Maintaining and filing corporate records, drafting consents and resolutions, recording changes in equity ownership, officers and directors, and assisting in filing annual reports;
- Producing documents related to the development and implementation of due diligence responses for vendors and finance partners;
- Providing contract support for standard corporate agreements including NDAs, marketing and independent contractor agreements;
- Assisting in general document management, including maintaining the organization’s document management system;
- Assisting in planning and executing the company's licensing functions and performance to align with the company's objectives;
- Managing and assisting in the license application process as required during acquisitions: acquire licenses and communicate with regulators, external counsel, and members of the legal, operations, and executive teams;
- Coordinating and receiving board and committee signatures for documents and materials;
- Assisting in periodic reporting to external financing parties and also as it relates to SEC compliance;
- Partnering with the company's legal and operations teams to develop and maintain licensing policies and procedures used on a day-to-day basis; and
- Assist lawyers and paralegals with litigation projects, which may include filing legal documents, investigating facts and circumstances relating to disputes, and gathering records for discovery.

- Have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (required);
- Are a self-starter, good planner, extremely detail-oriented and can meet deadlines without exception;
- Are proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Outlook, and Excel) and Google’s apps and services (e.g., Google Drive, Chrome); and
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills; you are able to demonstrate the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
