What You'll Bring
Juris Doctorate (JD) degree required and 6+ years of experience as a consumer financial services attorney with a strong regulatory compliance and/or litigation background.
Provide legal support to U.S. Consumer Operations business on the Fair Credit Reporting Act (“FCRA”), UDAAP, and other state and federal consumer protection laws and regulations affecting the business.
Counsel and advise the U.S. Direct to Consumer business on sales and marketing practice activities, digital marketing strategy and third party advertising to our direct consumer customers.
Assist in representing TransUnion in regulatory supervisory examinations and related matters.
Provide legal support to US Compliance business and Internal Audit.
Strong organizational, analytical, and critical-thinking skills (root cause analysis, problem solving, issue spotting, and decision making).
Interpretation of highly complex matters, often requiring research and the exercise of legal judgment.
Executive level written and oral communication skills and advocacy experience.
Ability to build and foster strong relationships with peers, staff, and management of all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated ability to manage and handle a significant and diverse work flow in an effective and timely manner.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and talented attorney to join TransUnion’s legal team to provide legal support and guidance to the U.S. Operations business as well as the Direct to Consumer business on areas affecting legal compliance and strategy including: compliance with federal and state consumer protection laws, policy management and training, sales and advertising communications, new product design and development, litigation mitigation, issue management and remediation, regulatory examination legal support and other matters as needed. Make an impact in this rapidly evolving company by using your legal experience and skills to drive execution on legal and regulatory matters.
Work with the Vice President, Associate General Counsel for Consumer Operations to provide legal assistance and guidance regarding ongoing legal, regulatory and business matters for TransUnion.
Provide proactive legal counsel to stakeholders, including TransUnion leadership, in support of the foregoing.
Advise internal clients on legal and business issues and the implications of alternative positions to enable informed business decisions.
Provide advice to stakeholders regarding changes in the law, increased regulatory scrutiny, or other legal issues that may involve the company’s short or long-term strategic operations.
Maintain complete confidentiality of company-related business.
