Job Description
Motorola Solutions is hiring a full-time Paralegal specializing in employment law, compliance and employee relations matters.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
Conduct legal research and prepare legal resource materials.
Create and maintain a repository of legal documents such as demand letters and responses, separation agreements, subpoenas and various templates.
Review, redline, draft and revise various legal agreements under the supervision of an attorney.
Perform basic legal tasks (drafting, research, etc.) and conduct first level of review on certain documents as instructed/needed, including for example employment agreements and policies.
Assist with gathering information, documents and data in response to third-party subpoenas and discovery requests.
Conduct efficient, ethical and professional investigations including intake/fact-finding interviews used for clearing up policy violations, performance management, harassment complaints and other allegations of employee misconduct.
Effectively summarize investigation findings and mitigation opportunities in written reports.
Assist in the development of affirmative action plans and goals, and compliance audits.
Ensure HR systems and trackers are kept current.
Project manage and assist with various ad hoc legal projects and provide broad legal support to the Employment Law team.
Required Skills And Experience
3-5 years of paralegal experience.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Paralegal certification preferred.
Strong understanding of federal, state and local employment and labor laws.
Strong analytical skills and attention to details.
Ability to confidentially handle sensitive matters.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Strong customer service, interpersonal and written communication skills.
Ability to handle high stress situations in a professional, business-like manner.
Corporate in-house experience is a plus.
Basic Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor's Degree Preferred
3 years Paralegal experience
Experience with federal, state and local employment and labor laws.
