Paralegal
We are looking for a paralegal to join our team to assist with the responsibilities of our legal department. This individual must be able to work in collaboration with other Origami employees in a highly self-driven manner within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. In particular, this position will play a key role in supporting Origami's Sales and Services organizations in the contracting process with clients and prospective clients. This position will report to Origami's Senior Managing Counsel and will be located in Origami's Chicago headquarters.

Responsibilities
- Review order forms, statements of work, and confidentiality agreements, and generally assist with the contracting process
- Review requests for proposal, requests for information, or other similar tendering documents and coordinate with internal stakeholders in submitting proposals
- Maintain corporate records and ensure timely and accurate corporate filings are made
- Manage Freedom of Information Act requests
- Assist with the vendor management process
- Assist other Origami departments with legal-related questions and tasks
- Handle legal department administrative tasks (such as routing legal documents or information to relevant internal and external stakeholders and tracking and monitoring the status of contracts)
- Perform other activities as needed (such as tasks related to agreement templates, insurance policies, office leases and HR documentation)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Paralegal certificate
- 2-4 years of relevant professional work experience, preferably in a law firm or in-house legal department
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills
- Strong skills with legal-related software (such as Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat)
- Highly responsive and service-oriented attitude
- Superb attention to detail and ability to organize, prioritize and manage deadlines in a fast-paced and demanding work environment
- Highly professional and approachable demeanor with strong business ethics
