Department OverviewThe Motorola Solutions Software Enterprise Customer Success team measures customer outcomes and delivers superior customer experiences that contribute to outstanding references. We enable the ongoing growth and adoption of solutions across our software enterprise portfolio and empower the broader Motorola Solutions team to have a comprehensive view of customer sentiment and satisfaction. We work with new and existing Public Safety clients to ensure they are successful with, and delighted by the Motorola Solutions Software Enterprise platform and services.
Job Description
The Professional Services Flex Specialist will be responsible for modern law enforcement functions on data-driven, intelligence-led decision making from many different sources of digital information. One of those primary sources is their Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) and Records Management Systems (RMS). A Professional Services Flex Specialist works with policing agencies to establish best practices around their agency’s use of Flex CAD and RMS. This specialist will evaluate the agencies current data aggregation, collection, storage, evaluation, distribution and overall processes and procedures with the end goal of implementing state of the art solutions that will improve both tactical and strategic decision making throughout the department.
Job Responsibilities:
Aid in guiding the department on the best practice use of the Flex product and subsequent products that work alongside Flex such as: CommandCentral Analytics+ and CommandCentral Vault
Determine best practices on information input from various police divisions and police personnel that results into firm action plans that achieve increased operational efficiency and reduce crime
Develop and disseminate intelligence derived from the Flex system and related systems to police, City administration, and other interested parties, for decision-making purposes
Work with senior command staff to evaluate and streamline processes related to data collection, data retrieval and data usage within the department
Respond to ad hoc requests from the Chief of Police and Deputy Chiefs for meetings and briefings
Stay up to date on trends in storage and management of digital law enforcement information
Develop and maintain sample Tactical, Strategic, Administrative and Operational management capabilities from the Flex system and related systems
Conduct briefings and presentations of findings and conclusions
Provide information and analysis findings in a format that allows for its use by all appropriate personnel and divisions within the Department
Draft and prepare general orders, standard operating procedures, and similar materials pertaining to law enforcement
Ability to assist the agency in performing recommended Improvement or remediation as called out in the Professional Services Engagement
Willingness to cross train on other products related to the Flex system
Willing to travel regularly - 50-75%
Specific Knowledge/Skills:
- Seeking seasoned law enforcement professional with a high level of attention to detail and excellent verbal and written presentation skills
- Previous government experience is preferred
- Deep knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a typical Law Enforcement Agency
- Experience with Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) and Records Management Systems (RMS) is desired
- Previous experience with Motorola Solutions’ CommandCentral applications is preferred
- This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.

Seeking candidates that is familiar with or possesses certifications/experience from one or more of the following:
Flex Administrator (Or heavy experience with Flex and willingness to become a certified Admin)
Dispatch
CommandCentral Analytics/Analytics+
CrimeReports.com
CommandCentral Vault (Or other cloud data storage system)
Law Enforcement instruction
Basic Requirements
Bachelors Degree with 2+ years or sales/public safety experience or 6+ years of sales public safety
Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by government customer
