Associate Director, Customer Marketing Strategy
Reporting to the Director, Marketing Strategy, the Associate Director, Marketing Strategy will leverage their extensive experience in 1st party data, campaign design, multichannel orchestration and moderate knowledge of MarTech platforms to deliver fresh, innovative work for clients. This individual will also help to build & mentor a small but mighty team with a mind towards thought leadership, collaboration, talent retention and business growth.
This positive, forward-thinking team member will join the Customer Marketing Practice and be charged with the following:
- Designing and producing deliverables such as omnichannel experience, customer journey mapping and lifecycle design to discover use cases, improve customer digital touchpoints and drive client business goals
- Delivering customer marketing strategies that are elegantly orchestrated across multiple owned channels, primarily CRM and Loyalty, Personalization, Email Marketing and Digital Messaging (SMS, Push), Social Media, SEO and Content Authoring
- Collaborating with leaders across Bounteous’ practice areas, most notably Client Services (account management) and Business Development (sales), to promote and grow adoption of marketing services across new and existing clients
- Increasing revenue and client satisfaction through adoption of marketing services
Preferred Professional Experience & Qualities
- The ideal candidate will have 6+ years in a similar role. This individual should also have relevant marketing experience functioning within a consulting agency or in-house marketing team but should be able to demonstrate a proven track-record of internal/external collaboration with stakeholders and decision-makers as well as successful adoption of marketing services and programs.
- The ideal candidate will also have a growth mindset that can provide cross-functional support for existing clients and new business.
- Extensive experience with the use of 1st party data to reach audiences with relevant content
- General understanding & knowledge of Adobe, Acquia, Google, Salesforce marketing platforms and other MarTech platforms as needed. Preference given to those with experience with Adobe Campaign and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Strong team- and consensus-building skills in a matrixed environment, able to work across teams to deliver successful strategies and deliverables to clients
- Knowledge of analytics, insight, and technology and their interplay with design decision-making and strategic road-mapping
- Strong leadership, coaching, team-building, and collaboration skills, ideally with prior experience managing people and retaining top talent
- Ability to communicate effectively, thoughtfully and respectfully, both verbally and through written media, with a wide array of internal and external audiences, including international team members and clients
- A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from an accredited four-year college or university is preferred
Role and Responsibilities
- Discover customer use cases and strategize on owned channel and 1st party data channel applications
- Translate channel experiences into actionable digital trigger briefs
- Prioritized omnichannel campaign testing strategy (Email, SMS, Push, etc.)
- Website CRO personalization C/W/R roadmap
- Website SEO strategy and recommendations
- Marketing engagement recommendations, such as social media, influencer or event marketing
- Thought-leadership on marketing strategy and digital activation enablers, such as CDP
- Ability to research and stay informed of industry trends
- Ability to be persuasive during client presentations, delivering with high client satisfaction and driving account growth
