Job Description This role supports the Executive Director, Media Strategy & Insights within the broader Media COE, to provide oversight and guidance on the strategic use of customer and syndicated data to improve Paid Media campaign effectiveness in compliance with operational controls and data regulations. This role is responsible for maintaining four key focuses:

  • Strategic audience governance - enforce data prioritization pillars across agencies and lines of business
  • New capabilities and roadmap implementation - expand current capabilities toolset and support roadmap implementation
  • Internal Education - educate internal Line of Business stakeholders on ad tech landscape and JPMC tech stack
  • Segment building and execution - provide guidance on building requested audiences and delivering to media platforms in a timely manner


Key Responsibilities at a Glance

  • Become a subject matter expert in JPMC audience data to drive audience strategy for paid media campaigns
    • Identify data driven advanced targeting, micro segmentation, and universal suppression rules to home in on high value consumer audiences, driving a JPMC audience-centric strategy
  • Partner with Audience Management team members, both US and India- based, to create and maintain 100+ live audiences, monitoring audience stability and accurate delivery to media partners
  • Evaluate audience and data driven marketing efforts are integrated into advanced measurement deliverables for test and learn opportunities
  • Manage existing DMP, onboard post-cookie identity solutions, and establish a plan to integrate those solutions for seamless execution for both near and long-term goals
  • Work directly with a variety of constituents including, internal and external Media Buying teams, Technology, Legal, Compliance, Modeling and Analytic teams to provide audience planning solutions to improve our ability to target, measure and report on performance across media channels
  • Collaborate closely with the larger Strategy & Insights team to assist with the Strategy and Audience Insights practices
  • Manage relationships with current ad tech vendors and continually assess new data solutions in the ad tech and audience data landscape
  • Identify new technologies and capabilities with cross-functional teams (i.e. Analytics, Line of Business, Modeling, and Tech teams) to drive forward thinking adoption and increased campaign performance
  • Champion consumer privacy as we implement improved targeting across paid channels
  • Maintain a strong focus on operational, regulatory control and adhering to strict compliance, while continuing to improve process for quality and efficiency.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • 4+ years of marketing experience in paid media, advertising technology, personalization, or technology management experience
  • Experience in Financial-service category or highly regulated category experience and/or client-side/in-house experience preferred
  • Deep understanding of media technology across display, social, programmatic, mobile and emerging solutions to advise on each brand's strategy for customer-centric, data driven marketing
  • Demonstrated track record of managing media technology products and experience working in DMPs and/or CDPs such as Adobe Audience Manager/Adobe Analytics/Adobe Experience Platform, Oracle BlueKai, Segment, mParticle, Tealium, or Salesforce - building and syndicating audiences, maintaining taxonomy structures, reporting and analytics, troubleshooting
  • Proven ability to influence and communicate with stakeholders across functions and at all levels (business, technology, operations, executives, peers) communicating audience recommendations and synthesizing performance learnings for future strategy
  • Strong storytelling skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into powerful narratives, written and visual, to be presented to senior leaders
  • Deep understanding of advertising and privacy concerns in this rapidly shifting environment, such as GDPR and CCPA/CPRA and impact on data collection
