Content Marketing Manager

PowerReviews works with more than 1,000 global brands and retailers to increase conversion and improve products and the customer experience with ratings and reviews and Q&A software. Ratings and reviews solutions from PowerReviews are essential for consumers as they search and shop online and in-store, and they are proven to increase online site-wide sales up to 17%.

In your role as Content Marketing Manager, you will drive thought leadership and marketing content initiatives that build our brand and awareness and drive revenue across all segments of our business. You will help define and drive our content program and create original thought leadership across multiple platforms and formats, including blogs, infographics, video, eBooks, and more. Further, you will provide ongoing education and guidance to ensure high quality writing for all PowerReviews content. This position will report directly to the VP of Marketing.

Key Responsibilities

Writing and Messaging

  • Craft interesting, well-researched, high utility marketing and website content to drive traffic, engage and convert target customers, and improve shared content across social media channels; content to include blog posts, website copy, emails, landing pages, white papers, eBooks, press releases, presentations, case studies, webinars, videos, and other materials as needed
  • Contribute to social media postings and manage social media accounts and content calendar
  • Update web content using a web content management system (Wordpress)
  • Work with product marketing and sales, develop content strategies and materials to support the sales cycle
  • Create and manage product and solution marketing collateral, including customer case studies, sales presentations, sell sheets, and help documents
  • Keep up with current industry trends and topics to ensure effective external and internal communications
  • Copy edit and review content for messaging, style guidelines, brand consistency and voice; provide education and guidance to ensure high quality writing for all PowerReviews content
  • Coordinate with partners, thought leaders, and other third parties to produce high quality joint content programs

Content Strategy

  • Develop a content strategy that supports developing thought leadership, driving awareness and traffic, nurturing sales, and closing deals.
  • Develop and maintain editorial calendars and content project plans; provide regular updates to stakeholders, and determine metrics for ensuring effectiveness of marketing content
  • Build and track benchmarks for measuring success and ROI
  • Implement new tools and processes for effective creation and measurement of content
  • Optimize delivery strategy for each piece, by implementing best practices, and repeatedly testing various tools, content formats, and distribution channels with various target audience segments
  • Provide accurate and timely project reporting on all content marketing activities

Website and Social

  • Lead content creation activities for the website, keeping content relevant and fresh to drive traffic, engage visitors, and convert visitors to prospects
  • Direct PowerReviews’ social media strategy
  • Manage PowerReviews social media presence to grow followers and engagement, particularly among influencers
  • Partner with Demand Generation and Marketing Operations to optimize visibility of PowerReviews in organic search results

Skills We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing communications or writing-focused roles
  • Excellent written skills for online and print
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong analytical capability
  • Experience with Web Content Management Systems (ie Wordpress), HTML, Marketo, and Adobe Creative Cloud a plus
  • Experience with B2B client communications is a plus
  • Proven history delivering effective press outreach
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven team environment with shifting priorities
  • Ability to work across multiple cross functional teams
  • Thrives in a collaborative environment

  • Ability to step in to support other teams across marketing activities including and not limited to event management
