What you’ll be doing:
As a marketing copywriter, you’ll be writing for a range of projects including landing pages, banner ads, marketing emails, SEO pages and more. You will work closely with digital and UI designers to make sure your words mesh with their designs to create powerful, on-brand marketing that engages customers and drives conversions. You will also work closely with cross-functional departments across Enova, including marketing, business stakeholders and legal/compliance.
Much of your focus will be on creating engaging website and email copy used by our international products and brands. We’re looking for someone with an understanding of the basics of digital marketing and UX design, who is also eager to expand their knowledge in a varied, fast-paced environment.
Your core priorities will be to:
- Develop effective copy that aligns with marketing strategy to support lead generation, nurturing and conversion across marketing channels (web, email, banner ad, SEO, etc.)
- Easily partner and collaborate with designers, copywriters, coders, marketers and product managers to develop compelling copy that is aligned with business goals
- Regularly pitch work to internal clients and stakeholders
- Establish understanding of our brand products, markets, target customers and competitive advantages
- Maintain a consistent track record of developing compelling copy that is well received by clients
- Help update and maintain brand style guides, tone and positioning
- Become proficient in project management software and take ownership of status updates on all assigned projects
What you should have:
- BA in English, Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or Marketing or equivalent job experience
- 2-3 years of professional working experience in a digital copywriting role
- Superior understanding and application of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and syntax (knowledge of AP style preferred)
- Extreme attention to detail and consistency
- Proficiency in writing copy consistent with specific brand voices
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment; meet deadlines and be flexible to changing priorities; ability to manage time
- Flexible and adaptable enough to rework copy based on legal, marketing and other stakeholder feedback and give and receive feedback productively
Kudos to you if you have:
- Knowledge of SEO best practices
- Experience using Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics or similar platforms
- Experience in financial services or another highly regulated industry
- Experience with HTML and Adobe Creative Cloud
