About the role

Wellspring seeks a Manager of Demand Generation to join our expanding Marketing team. In this role, your main responsibility will be to create, execute, and improve automated email marketing campaigns. This position reports to the Director of Marketing.

The Manager of Demand Generation position is ideal for intellectually curious individuals who have a passion for technical marketing and new business development, as well as genuine enthusiasm for the technology and innovation.

As a Demand Generation Manager at Wellspring, you will develop innovation, intellectual property, and technology transfer knowledge through mentorship and our training program. Wellspring is a growing organization and we encourage our sales and marketing staff to develop cross-functional skills by working with operations, account executives, and solutions consultants. This role is designed for people interested in expanding the marketing footprint of a growing company in an emerging industry.

Responsibilities 

    1. Email Marketing
      • Bi-weekly prospect newsletter across all of Wellspring’s three core markets
      • Organize and execute named account email campaigns for corporate market
      • Bi-weekly newsletter marketing for customers
      • Pre and post event email campaigns
      • Ad-hoc campaigns as dictated by sales needs
      • Improve the creative and design elements to create compelling campaigns
      • Track and grow opens, clicks, engagements, new contacts added
    2. Web Traffic and Content
      • Generate and maintain a keyword list for long tail search terms
      • Manage website SEO
      • Create a blog calendar with current SEO metrics and SEO goals for each key term
      • Write blog copy and report on traffic and/or SEO changes
      • Maintain and grow strong relationships with key bloggers/influencers.
      • Reporting, metrics, and lead handoff duties.
    3. Events
      • Set event strategy, conduct due diligence, and schedule tradeshow events
      • Maintain an accurate budget
      • Develop lead estimates, goal setting, and follow-up procedures
      • Detail and logistics planning
      • Webinar/digital event support and planning
    4. Reporting
      • Set conversion/pipeline goals and track activity including the number of leads, our cost per qualified lead, the % of leads that turn into opportunities, and the marketing-sourced revenue that closes.
      • Monitor and tune the performance of the lead funnel, lead scoring engine and lead follow-up/conversion
      • Create a long-term lead performance plan with weekly reporting by demand gen channel
      • Monitor Hubspot prospect and customer database hygiene, performing ongoing data cleansing to maintain the health and accuracy of our prospect and lead database.
      • Perform other duties as assigned including but not limited to event support, project management, sales support, research, vendor management, etc.

 Ideal Experience

  • Bachelor's degree with a strong academic background required
  • 4+ years of B2B marketing experience
  • Experience designing and executing automated email marketing campaigns
  • SEO and web marketing experience a plus
  • Strong communication, analytic, and listening skills, with a positive approach
  • Self-starter and hardworking, with a track record of success and drive for achievement
  • Marketing operations and software industry knowledge experience is a plus
