Manager, Demand Planning: RXBAR is one of the fastest growing natural brands in the country and this explosive growth requires a need to focus on our customers, distributors, and e-commerce forecasts, that will work in conjunction with our production and supply planning teams. The Manager of Demand Planning role will be highly visible with cross-functional work among multiple teams (Supply Chain/Sales/Finance/Marketing).

The Manager, Demand Planning is responsible for all forecasting activities associated with customers (internal/external), products, and stakeholders. They will create and maintain forecast models for their customers, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, retailer replenishment analysts, and other sources (i.e.: IRI/Nielsen or other syndicated consumer data). The Manager of Demand Planning is the integration point into the sales and commercial organization. This position leads the dialogue each month for their respective customers and products with key counterparts in Sales, Marketing, and Finance. This person must be organized, a strong communicator, and looking to be part of an exciting, fast-paced, and innovative company. 

General Functions + Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons, in conjunction with Sales and Finance Forecasts
  • Work with internal stakeholders and lead management of Multi-National Warehouse Allocation
  • Manage internal network demand plan between multiple warehouse locations and customer distribution (Direct Customer and Distributors)
  • Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions
  • Interact with sales, marketing, and customer finance to understand demand forecast drivers
  • Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing and Customer Finance to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts
  • Use and maintain the Demand Planning software as the primary forecasting system tool
  • Provide input to the Supply Planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs
  • Closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with supply planning
  • Participate in monthly S&OP meetings as necessary

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Positive attitude, a thirst for knowledge, and an excitement for growing our business
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business or Operations related field
  • 3 to 5 years Demand Planning and/or Supply Chain experience
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting, and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts
  • Knowledge of ERP Systems (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite), or other software related to demand planning is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, effectively manage workload to meet deadlines, while ensuring a high standard of quality
  • Self-starter who is extremely result and detail-oriented
  • Desire to excel and grow with the organization
  • Creative problem-solving abilities
  • Highly adaptable and resourceful
