DIGITAL MARKETING - DATA MANAGEMENT PLATFORM (DMP) STRATEGIST
Working within Caterpillar’s Digital Customer Engagement team, the DMP Strategist creates and drives the experience strategy, vision, and roadmap of business capabilities and the customer experience. This role is cross-functional and will work closely with business, user experience, technology, and leadership teams to envision, develop and implement digital customer experiences. The DMP Strategist is both creative and analytical, able to work effectively in a matrix organization, adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into customer experiences. The DMP Strategist is customer focused and technology savvy with a proven track record of designing and implementing successful experiences across technology platforms.
Job Duties / Responsibilities
- Partners with internal stakeholders to identify and prioritize ongoing DMP use cases and high-value data sources for ingestion, based on business priorities.
- Develops a comprehensive 1st, 2nd and 3rd party data strategy via business partners’ prioritized inputs, to create a unifying view of audience data.
- Works with Cat Digital to review and align on the procurement of a data-onboarding-tool, ensuring data is properly onboarded, minimizing risk PII does not enter the DMP environment.
- Liaises with Cat Digital to ensure DMP platform health and overall data quality.
- Analyzes DMP data and identifies key, actionable insights, sharing back with business partners to further enable greater conversions and personalization, all while minimizing advertising spend.
- Manages lead audience activation management, processes, evolution, and oversee data taxonomy creation, set up & measurement.
- Serves as the Enterprise functional SME for DMP, setting the strategy and associated roadmap for both short term acceleration and long term platform expansion, maximizing our marketing return on investment.
- Develops appropriate training materials and delivers ongoing Enterprise education to ensure business partner understanding and adoption of capabilities within DMP.
- Facilitates appropriate data authorizations and signoffs from both data owners and our legal team .

Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 4 + years of progressively responsible digital job experiences
- 1 + years of experience with a Digital Marketing DMP

- Experience working on large/complex digital marketing initiatives
- Excellent interpersonal skills, presentational, analytical, and literacy skills.
- Strong customer focus
- Experience in working with a digital marketing team
- Experience with Salesforce
- Understand digital technology and systems
- B2B and B2C experience, working with large brands/complex organizations
