What You'll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism or business equivalent
Minimum of 15 years of communication strategy and execution experience for both internal and external audiences
Experience evaluating, planning and developing multi-channel communication plans and establishing content, reach and perception measurement methods
Proven ability to consolidate information, business capabilities and complex concepts into clear communications and stories that resonate with various stakeholders and audience types
Leadership experience and ability to influence cross-matrix organizations to attain business goals
Exceptional storytelling, written and oral presentation & data visualization skills
Leadership experience developing communications for large scale, complex, global change and transformation projects and technology implementations
Experience developing narratives that change what people think, feel and do
Ability to lead the development of stories and strategic communications planning across a range of media
General consultancy and internal client relationship skills, particularly the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders and lead teams — both direct and cross-matrix
A passion for excellence in execution with a keen eye for quality in every detail
Impact You'll Make
TransUnion is looking for a marketing leader to oversee go-to-market strategies and content development of our full Global Technology story, as part of the execution of marketing communication plans for both internal and external audiences. This will encompass our technology transformation for Project Rise and incorporating this into the long-term TransUnion technology strategy in how we will operate as an organization in the future.
As the Director of Global Technology Communications, you’ll oversee strategic management of the story and coordinate with content developers while partnering with the internal marketing and human resources teams —and other cross-functional stakeholders— to develop messaging and positioning based on audience. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader, metrics-driven marketer, and experienced cross-matrix collaborator.
Inspire & connect our employee, investors, customers and the marketplace at large with our technology vision and priorities. At various times you will be a writer, project manager, creative thinker, storyteller and visual designer. Part marketer, part evangelist you know the importance of communicating well and understand that what you say is only as powerful as what the audience hears.
Create an overall message map to help tell our technology story to all constituents and develop primary strategic content and campaigns.
Coordinate with all content producers, both direct reports, peers and cross-functional partners.
Partner with Public Relations partners to determine where and how we tell our story overall and how we track the shift in perception.
Connect technology story to existing global positioning and enterprise communication strategies.
Plan, manage, and communicate through all phases of the technology initiative with segmented messaging and engagement models for custom audiences
Use existing and new channels to engage internal audiences, manage internal change communications, and define innovative ways to bring teams along on the journey.
Refine the story for external audiences, including customers and investors and oversee the collaboration with vertical and regional marketers for program-level communications.
Keep employees informed with consistent timely communications that connect daily activities to business goals, priorities long term vision.
