The Challenge:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Director of Marketing to join us and ensure that our customers are thrilled with our platform. This is a role for someone who is a strategic leader and has a passion for understanding product-led growth. In this role, you’ll be responsible for establishing oak9 as a leader and destination for cloud security. We are looking for someone to develop and execute oak9’s GTM strategy with informed market and statistical data. You should have strong opinions product-led marketing best practices to help you stay focused in the ever-changing cybersecurity space. We are a startup, so it’s important to us that you’re an expert in creating brand awareness and establishing credibility in the market. We’re building something special here and need your expertise to help us tell our story in the right way! 

The Skillset

• 7+ years of experience in a fast-paced software company marketing SaaS/self-service product 
• Proven success as a Marketing Manager, Marketing Director, or other senior role 
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement successful marketing campaigns through product-led growth focus -We strongly believe in the ability for our product to sell itself 
• Excel in digital marketing
• Knowledge about SEO and web analytics 
• Motivation to solve problems and a data-driven mindset 
• Must easily navigate contributing to strategic leadership and executing initiatives 

In 30 days, you will...

• Get to know oak9! Learn about our systems, processes, people, and vision 
• Become familiar with cloud service provider offerings and security considerations associated with them 
• Familiarize yourself with our marketing efforts, develop a strategy to improve content marketing results for the future 
• Build out and improve oak9’s marketing calendar 
• Understand the key differentiations of oak9 and competitors/ conduct market analysis to identify challenges and opportunities for growth 

In 60 days, you will...

• Develop oak9’s go-to-market strategy; create collateral for customers, prospects, and customer-facing teams 
• Manage oak9's digital marketing program
• Plan, design, and create new content for the blog, press, website, social, etc 
• Build relationships with media and stakeholders through creative PR strategies 

In 90 days, you will...

• Build relationships with media and stakeholders through creative PR strategies 
• Continually develop, implement, and execute an organic marketing strategy to increase brand awareness by focusing on product-led growth
