As the Director of Platform Product Marketing leading a team, you will also help define product positioning and key product messages for all horizontal aspects of the ActiveCampaign platform including our machine learning, mobile platform, chrome integration, platform security, and APIs. You will also manage our technical marketing teams that are responsible for our in-app messaging, sales and self-serve demos, and front-end engineering for our web properties. What your day could consist of:

  • Lead the strategy and plan for the ActiveCampaign platform setting cross-functional goals, measuring performance, and alignment across senior leadership
  • Build and manage a team of high impact product marketing, technical marketing, and site managers
  • Be a subject matter expert for the horizontal features making up the ActiveCampaign platform including our security, machine learning, recipes, and API
  • Establish overall messaging and positioning of the ActiveCampaign platform, including developing sales enablement materials like product pitch decks and demo videos, and marketing materials like customer success stories and thought leadership content
  • Partner with sales enablement to ensure that every member of Sales and Customer Success teams can communicate the “why,” “how” and “what” of the ActiveCampaign platform
  • Lead digital market research to understand the needs of companies and bring those insights to the ActiveCampaign organization
  • Work closely with stakeholders in the Product and Partnerships teams, and bring industry insights to inform our product strategy decisions
  • Show creative thing and actively help shape the way ActiveCampaign differentiates our product offerings in a crowded and complex ecosystem

What is needed:

  • 10+ years of technical marketing, product marketing, product management, or sales engineering experience for an enterprise SaaS company or developer platform
  • 3+ years of experience managing a marketing or product team
  • Proven track record of leading teams to build and execute on go-to-market plans for technical products
  • Experience orchestrating successful product launches with experience building for scale and working with multiple cross-organizational stakeholders
  • Strong and proven track record of partnering with high performing product management teams
  • Exceptional product marketing skills with the ability to understand complex technology and turn them into innovative marketing messages
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, great teammate and a person who can inspire and lead in a diverse team in experiences and background
  • Project management skills - can manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • A degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field. MBA a plus.
