Position: Director of Product Marketing

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

In Office Requirements: ~1 day per week

Target Start Day: June 2023

THE POSITION:

We are seeking a Director of Product Marketing with a tremendous work ethic and knowledge of investing and the wealth management industry. Working alongside the marketing, product management, sales and customer success teams, you’ll be responsible for co-crafting the go-to-market strategy, and creating the product messaging and sales enablement materials that will help drive YCharts’ growth. You will lead a growing team focused on developing content that will excite and educate current customers, drive demand, generate leads, and influence the sales pipeline for new prospects as well as expansion opportunities at existing clients. 


 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Lead a team of 3 Marketing Analysts
  • Own the YCharts content strategy
  • Fuel the organization with conversion-oriented sales enablement content for all parts of the sales funnel
  • Craft product messaging clearly defining the ways YCharts differentiates itself from competitor tools and how it applies to different verticals and user personas 
  • Review and consult on copy and content for all marketing needs across the blog and website, social media, Google ads, and email campaigns
  • Host webinars and other content-driven videos; connecting new product features & capabilities to compelling webinar topics and talking points
  • Execute long-form thought leadership pieces (surveys, white papers, etc.) that position YCharts as a knowledgeable and trusted authority in the wealth management industry
  • Strengthen and accelerate the adoption and use of new features
  • Track and report on all efforts, regularly to senior leaders at YCharts

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • BS in Marketing, Finance or Economics
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant domain-related work experience (product marketing/marketing/product management/customer success at a fintech or financial services company) 
  • Two years of experience leading a team and/or managing client relationships
  • Experience and comfort in communicating with clients both in person and virtually
  • Demonstrated knowledge and passion for investing, economics, and/or personal finance
  • Strong business and creative writing skills/storytelling skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Data-driven and conversion-oriented. You create reports to understand what activities drive conversions at each stage in the funnel, and continually refine processes to improve
  • Track record of successfully developing, implementing, and executing a product adoption strategy
  • Proficiency in YCharts or a competing software platform, Google Analytics, WordPress, SEM Rush

All YCharters are provided the flexibility to work from wherever, whether it be the office, their home, an Airbnb out-of-state, or even the country! As long as they continue to achieve their goals, we’re leaving our flexible policy available.

For those who do want to come into the office, we moved into a brand new space and added a state-of-the-art air filtration system, a $20/day stipend for office lunches via Grubhub, new fun games, tons of snacks as well a massage chair in our peace room to regroup after a long call.

All remote YCharters are given the option of having monitors, a desk and tech equipment sent to their residence.

Lastly, and probably most importantly, we all know and felt the effects COVID had on our mental and physical health.
