The Job Description:
Vivid Seats is seeking a Director, Public Relations to build and lead the right public relations
strategy for a high-growth company that is looking to tell its story. The right candidate will develop, plan and
execute media relations programs for all aspects of our brand. Supporting our brand strategy is a key element of
our upward trajectory. You must have strong, effective influencing skills and be great at gaining consensus,
navigating across the organization and build like a pro. The right candidate will have some experience managing
outside agency resources toward defined results.
Responsibilities:
• Build a messaging framework that is consistent with our brand strategy; executing through your own
creativity and leverage of the right resources
• Proactively develop, nurture and maintain effective relationships with company executives in key
functional areas
• Develop, plan and execute effective media relations programs including but not limited to press releases,
bylines, trade show visibility, press tours and social media content
• Establish, nurture and proactively manage relationships with target media outlets and contacts
• Track and announce wins and successes in press releases and other company-supported mediums and
channels including potentially (TV, radio, print and social media)
• Build positive relationships with public relations counterparts and executives at partner organizations in
order to facilitate joint visibility
• Manage company relationships and drive deliverables with public relations agencies
• Identify appropriate vehicles for and manage agency resources toward cumulative and qualitative results,
and measurement in metrics tools
• Drive the development of creative briefs for major PR initiatives in collaboration with creative, marketing,
SEO, SEM, etc.
Skills and Experience:
• You should have a minimum of 8+ years' experience in a PR leadership role
• Work history in B2C space; driving awareness in the consumer space; ecommerce/consumer web is most
relevant
• Demonstrated past experience partnering with corporate functions and business leadership teams and
operating in a player-coach environment
• Demonstrated ability to influence at the executive and individual levels. Ability to form productive
relationships within all levels of the organization
• Ability to leverage social media to educate and engage audiences
• Critical thinking, strategic consulting and conceptualization skills – ability to offer relevant solutions
