Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Email & Push Marketing Specialist to help expand the reach and personalization of our CRM channels.

Our ideal candidate will have experience thinking strategically about messaging cadence and targeting and is excited by the prospect of improving user experience through personalization in our messaging channels.
The Email and Push Marketing Specialist will collaborate with Reverb’s Marketing Technology, Analytics, and Growth teams to drive channel engagement and buyer frequency through segmentation, automation, and optimization of our Email and Push marketing campaigns.
This is a full-time position located (eventually) in Chicago, reporting to the Director of Growth Marketing. While all of our employees are currently remote, our future of work plan will offer flexible workplace policies that can accommodate work from home candidates who are comfortable traveling to the office location 2-3 times per week.
Responsibilities
Lead strategic calendar planning for triggered and journey-based communications in partnership with the Retention Marketing Manager.
Lead day-to-day project management of the triggered and journey-based email and push production process and use Liquid Template Language to personalize campaigns in partnership with the Editorial, Curation, and Design teams.
Work with our Marketing Technology and Analytics teams to target key buyer cohorts with personalized messaging and content at scale.
Design and launch experiments to optimize channel performance with a focus on meeting or exceeding retention goals, including purchase frequency.
Quality assure and proof campaigns and journeys to ensure compliance with briefs, accurate tracking, programming guidelines, content strategy, and evolving standard methodologies
Deliver and maintain analytics reporting that measures the performance of each campaign and own campaign insights on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
Qualifications
2+ years of online and direct response marketing experience with success executing automated email or push marketing programs
You have experience working with various Email Service Providers (ESPs) and creating email campaigns. *Preferred: You have worked in the Braze marketing automation platform*
Intermediate HTML skills and familiarity with its use in email. *Preferred: You have experience using Liquid Templating Language*
Detail-oriented and have shown success in delivering high quality, innovative, and engaging campaigns
Strong analytical skills using user-level data and marketing attribution to form hypotheses, and drive innovation of our programs through experimentation
Agile and collaborative teammate with strong critical thinking, problem solving skills, outstanding attention to detail, excellent communications skills, and bias toward action
Preferred: You understand CAN-SPAM/CASL requirements, email design standards, inbox deliverability, you have some SQL knowledge
Knowledge and a passion for musical instruments and music gear is a plus!
