About the role
CityBase is seeking an Field Marketing Coordinator based in Chicago, IL, to help our growing SaaS govtech company attract and convert leads in state and local government and utilities. The Marketing Coordinator reports to the Demand Generation Manager and collaborates closely with a growing Sales and Marketing team.
This role is responsible for researching and planning for CityBase's presence at national and regional industry events. Additionally, the Field Marketing Coordinator will work with existing partner organizations and recruit new partners to identify special programs that cultivate leads and cross-sell opportunities.
To be successful in this role, you should be a self-starter with experience in events marketing. You should be detail-oriented while keeping an eye toward the big picture, calm under pressure, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain an events calendar, collaborating with Marketing & Sales teams to reflect company priorities
  • Research and track speaking opportunities, and pitch CityBase and our clients as speakers at regional events and conferences
  • Liaise with event companies to plan CityBase's involvement as a speaker, sponsor, and/or exhibitor including negotiating sponsorship packages
  • Represent CityBase and align with peer marketing professionals at our GTY sister companies for shared event, sponsorship, and partnership opportunities
  • Track and manage budgets and deadlines associated with events, including shipping, printing, sponsor fees, etc.
  • Create, manage, and process event setup in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Coordinate with logistics vendors to ship CityBase booth materials
  • Create and distribute an Events Kit prior to attending each event, to ensure staff attendees are briefed on event details
  • Work with content & creative teams to produce materials needed for conference sponsorships such as booth materials, presentations, social media assets, etc.
  • Manage social media and website activity surrounding events and partnership campaigns
  • Distribute pre- and post-event communications
  • Collaborate with Sales Operations to track leads and evaluate event ROI
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with promotional, logistics, and print vendors and maintain the best relationship possible with those vendors
  • Manage inventory of marketing collateral and swag, ensuring the appropriate amounts are available for each event
  • Work with Sales team leaders to identify and distribute credentials to CityBase attendees
  • Build fruitful partnerships with associations and other relevant industry organizations by maintaining regular communication, identifying cross-marketing opportunities, and building tailored programming
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities
  • Occasional travel for domestic events may be required


Qualifications
Required

  • 2-4 years of related experience
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and time management skills
  • Must be extremely detail oriented
  • Must be comfortable with changing requirements and priorities, with the ability to proactively communicate status and identify risks
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and tight timelines
  • Effective planning and organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem solve


Preferred

  • Experience in related industries: govtech, SaaS technology, local government, utilities
  • Experience collaborating with a graphic design team
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Pardot, Wordpress, LinkedIn, LinkedIn Ads, Twitter, Slack, and Google Suite
