Field Marketing Manager

The Morningstar Demand Generation Marketing group plays an important part in architecting campaigns and programs to create experiences that guide the buyer journey and deliver pipeline and revenue for the business.
The Role: Our Field and Customer Marketing team is seeking a Field Marketing Manager to lead Morningstar’s third-party conference strategy in North America for our data, research, indexes, and software businesses. This role will work across Morningstar’s business lines to represent our products, solutions, and brand to the professional investment community. As the Field Marketing Manager, you will create and execute integrated marketing campaigns to build brand awareness, drive lead generation and revenue for various product lines and buyer types.
This role is located in our Chicago office.
Job Responsibilities
Lead the marketing strategy for third-party conferences in North America to drive lead generation for Morningstar’s data, research, indexes, and software businesses across the wealth and asset management customer segments.
Plan and execute integrated conference campaigns for all strategic conferences working closely with sales leadership and product marketing.
Oversee all aspects of conference planning – budgeting, goal setting, execution, lead process, and reporting.
Use a data-driven approach to the development and measurement of conference campaigns focused on lead generation and retention for the business.
Optimize the lead flow process with stakeholders to ensure a timely and efficient lead follow-up for each conference.
Partner with the demand generation campaign managers to effectively incorporate third-party conference tactics within larger, strategic corporate campaigns.
Align with the brand marketing and design teams to ensure the Morningstar brand is effectively represented at all third-party conferences via exhibit booths, signage, client events, giveaways, and digital components.
Oversee and assist with content creation for speaking opportunities, as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
3-5 years’ experience.
Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time throughout North America.
Prior budget management experience preferred.
Experience using marketing tech platforms – Salesforce, Eloqua, Tableau, and in a B2B demand generation environment is preferred.
Ability to effectively communicate and work with all levels within Morningstar including stakeholders in executive leadership, sales, product, product marketing, events, and corporate communications.
Must be able to handle multiple, complex projects with several stakeholders simultaneously.
Ability to work collaboratively and drive actions with other functional areas of the company.
Possess a positive attitude, collaborative working style, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
