Marketing Automation Manager

The Role: One of keys to our success is our ability to enroll individuals into our retirement services using integrated digital enrollment campaigns. To deliver operational excellence for the Workplace team, we are seeking a Marketing Automation Manager to oversee all aspects of campaign workflow within our email automation system (Eloqua) and other email delivery systems.
As the Marketing Automation Manager, you will be responsible building and executing campaigns that deliver the right content to the right prospects based on the buyer journeys and messaging maps created by our enrollment teams. You will be helping to manage and execute email and digital campaigns for our events, research and product marketing teams. Additionally, you will also be responsible for building out and distributing detailed campaign metrics. This role will report to the Senior Marketing Manager for Enrollment and is based in our Chicago office.
Responsibilities
- Performs all technical tasks to implement integrated campaigns using our marketing technology stack, including building emails, developing workflow rules, and building forms and landing pages
- Works closely with the enrollment, events and digital strategy teams to map appropriate content, assets, and promotions needed to engage specific audiences
- Creates segments for marketing campaigns based on criteria defined by our buyer personas
- Promotes data integrity best practices for maintaining a healthy contact database
- Reviews campaign metrics and provides regular updates on performance to broader business team
- Continually tests and refines email strategies to improve overall digital engagement
- Supports increased analytical rigor on the business by establishing rhythm of delivering reports and insights gleaned from Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Eloqua, Salesforce and other available resources and databases
- Works with the marketing technology squad to help communicate priorities and requirements
- Functions as gatekeeper for campaign scheduling
- Develops business metrics and Tableau dashboards to monitor multichannel marketing program performance
- Contributes to ad- hoc marketing projects as needed to support our overall business and marketing objectives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 2+ years of hands-on marketing automation experience, ideally in a multi-product firm. Eloqua experience preferred but equivalent experience with a similar platform will be given equal consideration
- Proven ability to translate content-marketing requirements into well-designed campaign schemas
- Skilled in problem solving and project management. Experience with agile planning a plus
- Self-starter and passion for "doing the impossible;" committed to driving operational excellence
- Must be data-driven and understand how to translate marketing metrics into opportunities for action
- Skilled in A/B testing
- Meticulous attention to detail, process-improvement mindset
