Job Summary

This position is responsible for supporting marketing leadership and business segments in the development and execution of marketing plans for CNA's individual lines of business/Commercial segments that integrate the CNA brand across marketing communication vehicles, strengthens the partnership with our brokers, and enables CNA's field offices to meet their production goals. 

Role will focus on the development and execution of industry marketing campaigns which may include: development of marketing materials, writing, editing and proofreading of marketing communications and project management of campaigns. This position will also aim to develop strategic marketing skills while building important relationships within the business.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines:

  1. Assists with the development, implementation and measurement of national marketing campaigns.  Also contributes to the preparation and execution of the Commercial business unit strategic marketing plans. Establishes project schedules, manages budgets, and ensures that deadlines are met.
  2. Works with digital experience team on the posting and maintenance of materials for various internal and external websites, social media and monitors sites to ensure posted items are up to date.
  3. Oversees various special projects including competitive activity research, working with in-house creative services to refresh existing marketing collateral and identifying process improvements to streamline certain tasks.
  4. Works with internal teams and third-party vendors to manage the creation and distribution of industry-specific publications via email marketing and website publishing.
  5. Support CNA's trade show participation and supports event with marketing materials, premium items, signage, etc.

 

May perform additional duties as assigned.

 

Reporting Relationship

Typically Marketing Director or above

 

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  1. Knowledge of marketing and communication processes.
  2. Excellent project management skills.
  3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.  Ability to effectively interact with internal and external business partners. 
  4. Detail oriented with good analytical skills, and ability to coordinate multiple tasks, manage several projects and ensure deadlines are met.
  5. Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite as well as other business-related software such as Salesforce and Marketo (or equivalent marketing automation programs).
  6. Must be able to travel occasionally including evenings and weekends.   
  7. Ability to work independently.

Education & Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree (BBA, BA, or BS) in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field or equivalent experience is required
  2. Typically up to two years of relevant work experience.
