About the Team:
The Marketing function will reinvigorate the Illinois Lottery brand through innovative insight-led programs such as enhanced games, effective social messaging and original advertising campaigns.
Position Overview:
The Marketing Analyst will provide a comprehensive analysis and reporting of Lottery performance, player insights and games, and the development of marketing plans and activities. As part of your role you will find wins, identify problems, and formulate potential solutions using data analysis. The Marketing Analyst will report to the Director of Brand and Product and will work closely with the Marketing, Retail Sales, Digital Marketing, and Insights teams.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a suite of self service reports for the Marketing team to help inform decisions founded on robus insight
- Work with the BI team to continually optimize this reporting suite, driving an efficient self-serve culture
- Analyze and interpret marketing and customer data in an efficient way to drive insight and knowledge across brands, categories and customers
- Work closely with Camelot’s Consumer Insights team to determine positive and negative consumer insight trends
- Participate in initiatives to increase or improve consumer data collection and understanding of the market
- Provide fresh perspective on the business by introducing new metrics to reporting
- Develop reporting and ad hoc analysis on campaigns
- Management of special marketing projects such as the analysis of lottery game performance, sales, and consumer insights.
- Take information from multiple sources (sales, consumer, customer and macro trends to formulate insight and provide recommendations and options
- Work with CRM vendors to ensure proper documentation and tracking of direct marketing campaigns and customer contact history
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, statistics, finance or other analytical area of study
- 2+ years previous experience in insights, quantitative analysis, or category management within CPG industry
- In-depth knowledge of the retail environment, its customers and channels, and experience of retail segmentation for tactical and strategic planning across the channels
- Experience developing business reporting and KPI dashboards
- Experience working with customer data and its use in analysis and benchmarking
- Ability to handle multiple projects in a deadline driven environment
- Analytical and detail-oriented; well organized; comfortable creating and updating reports
- Strong presentation skills
Preferred
- Experience working within the Microsoft Suites and/or Google suite technologies
