About the role

Higi is hiring a Marketing Designer to lead creative development and execution across Business to Consumer (B2C) and Business to Business (B2B) marketing. This role will report to the VP, Business and Corporate marketing and will collaborate closely with our consumer engagement, client delivery, sales, and product design teams.  As the Marketing Designer, you seek to understand the complex problems we are working to solve and empower both consumers and client-partners to understand them through your creative. You are detail oriented to a tee, but see big picture and think strategically to maximize the value of the assets you create.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work hand-in-hand with our business and consumer marketing teams
  • Own creative delivery across B2B and B2C marketing, including development of:
    • Sales collateral (brochures, flyers, posters, white papers, data sheets, presentations/decks, manuals, and other useful sales collateral)
    • Infographics
    • Social media and email content (banners, graphics for Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc)
    • Web creative (banners and other graphics for landing pages)
    • Supporting assets for Higi’s digital experience (e.g. website, Higi App, email)
    • Client campaign creative (digital advertisements, videos)
  • Continue to iterate, improve, help define and evangelize our brand strategy and guidelines
  • Be the creative voice in the room, helping stakeholders understand the design process and guiding the creative process alongside project owners and contributors
  • Master and manage marketing asset library, including maintaining and evolving all brand assets (logos, iconography, photography)
  • Create visual continuity and help bring the Higi voice to life in visuals across our platforms and stakeholder groups
  • Become the internal subject matter expert on our marketing project management software
  • Effectively manage competing priorities and collaborate closely with key stakeholders on deadlines
  • Foster positive team interactions amongst all departments (.g., Product Design, Consumer Marketing, B2B Marketing,  Product Management and Development); drive a growth mindset, maintain a positive attitude, self-direct and self-motivate, generate fresh ideas

Higi’s main office is in Chicago; however, this role can be based anywhere in the U.S.

  • You’re a natural visual storyteller with the ability to distill complex ideas into compelling visuals; you understand how to grab and hold attention and can demystify complicated health topics for a consumer
  • You have a strong project management experience, delivering high-quality work against competing priorities, and have experience managing stakeholders through various stages of content development
  • You are highly motivated and a self-starter with a strong sense of purpose and urgency. You are willing and able to make decisions with less than perfect information, with the ability to think bigger and push norms!
  • Strong team player with the ability to manage up, down and across the organization.
  • You are a compassionate, smart, and exceptionally creative individual with a strong passion to connect with and understand consumer needs in healthcare and populations health
  • You have a B.A. or equivalent training or work experience with 2-4 years design experience with an internal team or agency; healthcare experience a plus
  • You are experienced in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) and are comfortable working in or learning Figma; bonus if you have or are working on building up your animation skills (Photoshop or After Effects)
  • You are comfortable creating simple, flat illustrations and editing pre-existing illustrations
  • You understand print processes (large format, t-shirts, multi-page booklets, etc)
  • You understand digital design/designing for screens or kiosks, with some video editing skills and are willing to create and edit videos regularly
  • You are comfortable leveraging partner brand assets (brand guidelines, logos, images) to create branded content
  • You thrive working in a fast paced, evolving environment, caring about the details while get the bigger picture
  • You believe that good design can change the game
  • You’re energized by the idea that healthcare can be better, and that Higi has a key role to play in enabling that change
