Title: Headway Capital Marketing Manager
Reports to: Marketing Director
Your role:
The Headway Capital (HC) marketing manager sets the marketing strategy to drive customer acquisition and retention and coordinates all marketing activities to deliver targeted funding volume results. You will lead a growing team that executes partner management, traditional offline marketing and all digital marketing activities, develops new acquisition channels, manages the customer portfolio and improves results through alignment with underwriting data analytics.
Your core priorities will be:
Marketing Strategy and Budget
- Manage customer acquisition, portfolio management and brand strategies that rapidly grow the business to achieve business goals--driving projects for you and the team
- Maintain thorough knowledge of target customers and competitive landscape to drive brand preference and product success
- Contribute to best in class customer experience, from first marketing touch throughout the customer life cycle
- Work with Product Management, Underwriting, Analytics, the Call Center and Dev to integrate product and marketing strategy (new marketing channels, new features, new products, etc.)
- Plan, align, and manage business plan and budgets with finance and business leads
- Ensure alignment with Legal, Compliance and IT Risk regarding HC marketing and the business
Marketing Team, Channel and Project Management
- Consistently deliver on unit volume, funding and cost per funded targets through managing marketing team members, marketing projects, and marketing channels
- Develop marketing team members and coach on problem solving, project management, effective communication and strategy development
- Improve effectiveness of existing marketing channels (digital, more traditional), and expand to new channels and initiatives through test and implement strategies
- Improve marketing funnel performance, providing better customer experience with more effective direct marketing performance
- Manage key marketing partner relationships to generate business funding volume. Identify and onboard key new partners where applicable.
- Prioritize initiatives and projects for you and team--support project management, monitor and deliver against milestones, remove roadblocks, problem solve. Develop cases to provide business value and help gain/maintain prioritization--when applicable.
- Operate independently and manage the Team while working cross-functionally with internal departments (creative services, sales ops, product team, analytics, tech, legal, finance, and compliance)
What you should have:
- 5-7+ years marketing experience in both online and offline channels with a minimum of 2+ years in small business (B2B) marketing required (MBA a plus)
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Proven ability to think strategically corresponding ability to execute effectively
- Demonstrated experience with quantitative and technical analytical techniques
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing projects in a fast-paced environment through strategic planning, prioritization, and task delegation
- Previous leadership and people management experience
- Successful track record with both online and offline traditional marketing plans and execution--delivering against key target and project objectives
- Experience in financial services or e-commerce a plus
