The Role 

Within the fast growing and everchanging cannabis industry, RISE has emerged as one of the industry’s premier leaders in the retail dispensary landscape. With 65 open locations and licenses to scale to at least 114, we are in growth mode and looking for a driven marketer to join our team as Manager of New Store Openings (NSO) & Integrations. Reporting to the Marketing Director of Retail Experience, you will own the development and execution of campaign activations for NSOs, store conversions and acquisitions. In this role, you will represent Retail Marketing as part of a cross-functional team responsible for the successful scaling of NSOs and dispensary brand conversions via acquisitions in partnership with:  Retail Operations, Store Development, Visual Merchandise, Retail Brand, Revenue and Digital. You will facilitate marketing/communication planning, manage all aspects of creative development including compliance approval process, and advance project workflows through a tightly coordinated process and timeline. The overall goal of this position is to lead retail marketing with specifically designed communication playbooks and processes to ensure smooth workflows.

Responsibilities 

  • Author marketing NSO and Integration playbooks, adapting with every new execution to ensure best practices become standard operating procedure with each new project.  
  • Have intimate knowledge of the New Store Opening and dispensary acquisition process. Understand key milestones, blockers and process steps.  
  • Oversee the development of communication plans and creative assets working closely with internal creative, media and digital partners.  
  • Manage day-to-day creative agency partners through project briefings, status meetings and Monday.com  
  • Establish timelines with key milestones; include necessary stakeholders; manage the moving parts. 
  • Identify and manage key compliance milestones and compliance diligence. 
  • Maintain a master project calendar with priorities, key stakeholders, and deliverables expectations. 
  • Prepares and maintains clear and accurate communication and project documentation, project plan, status reports, internal meeting notes, change requests, resource requests, and critical next steps. 
  • Develop a working knowledge of both the RACI model of project management and apply these principles 
  • Understand production processes for various types of creative design requests: OOH, print, video, social, merchandise. 
  • Establish and moderate communication channels for project stakeholders. 
  • Includes subject matter experts in relevant stages of the project 
  • Assist in integration of relevant files and maintain asset management in SharePoint. 

Qualifications  

  • 4 year degree in marketing or related specific experience within the cannabis category  
  • 3 – 5 years in a related marketing/operational role 
  • Exceptional skills with Excel, Word, and Project Management tools (e.g., Monday) 
  • Start-up experience is ideal, but not required. Must demonstrate an ability to adapt to fast paced, highly dynamic business environments.  
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative, and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense and resourcefulness. 
  • Concrete experience managing complex projects and programs that have heavy dependencies requiring strong leadership to align multiple teams and stakeholders. 
  • Operates with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information 
  • Must understand and comply with the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of GTI 
  • Must have a solid understanding, or passion to further your understanding and knowledge of Marijuana laws, rules and regulations. 
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely through written and verbal communication  

 

Additional Requirements 

  • Must pass any and all required background checks  
  • Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry  
  • Must possess valid driver’s license 
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age 
  • Must be approved by the D.O.A. to receive an Agent badge
